This is going to form the basis for an idea I have for photobooths at evening wedding receptions. Or hen parties. Or anniversary parties. Or any kind of party you want to hold!

Belle so much wanted to be my photo of the day – she does look absolutely gorgeous here with her new hairstyle. We celebrated a family birthday and had such a great time and lots of laughter. This image has been edited with an “action” in Photoshop to give these gorgeous coffee tones. I could spend hours playing with pictures … and taking them too!
let there be laughter and sharing of pleasures”.
From my fortune cookie from Saturday evening. We spent time with Vince’s family for a birthday celebration and are glad to see that M is well on the road to recovery after her hip operation.
I also visited my mum who broke her hip just under three weeks ago and she seems to be doing really well. Added bonus: my sister visted with her daughter, Charlotte, who is such a bright little spark.
This was taken before my mum’s accident – I am trying out a new “portrait” style of photography, and we had such great fun in the taking:
So I have been counting my blessings and the sweetness of friendship and family and long may the laughter last.

I had my first maternity session on Friday with Sarah, who is due in December. We started off inside … Sarah is just such a smiley person, and kept breaking into the hugest grins …
I think the image below just captures how she feels about her baby …
But then the sun came out, and we decided to go out into the cold to get some of that beautiful autumnal light …
I’m so glad we did, because the light was just awesome, creating dappled light from the trees overhead … in the middle of London!
And because it was Hallowe’en, we thought we would have a play around with some lighting effects and created a bit of a spooky atmosphere …
Thanks so much Sarah for making this session so easy and such fun!
Laura got married to John, three years ago in Northern Ireland. Unfortunately I couldn’t be there at their wedding, but just knew that it would be a great “craic”. Since then, Laura and John have relocated to the UK and I just had to take this opportunity to ask Laura to be my first “rock the frock” bride. She was delighted and we just had the most fun. Laura is such a bubbly personality and smiled just the whole way through. We started off by the river in Faversham, one of my favourite places to photograph …
And the sun came out at just the right time … (OK, I did add the tiniest bit of lensflare in Photoshop …)
We then popped round the corner to The Anchor in Abbey Street and came across the most beautiful little dogs, belonging to Jesse … Laura has two gorgeous dogs of her own, Tara and Rosie, and we just had to make friends …
I just love the way that everyone joined in the fun …
I so much enjoyed my time with Laura (we painted the town red afterwards …) and I can’t thank her enough …
And to our two other stars …
