I just wanted to post a couple of shots – I visited my cousin and his wife again today to take some more pictures of baby Tiegan – she is now just over two weeks old and absolutely beautiful … I really enjoyed spending time with this lovely family and am looking forward to posting more over the next couple of days …
But, first, hush, baby sleeping …

More to follow, very soon …
At the FDCC, we regularly have practical evenings. It’s a great opportunity for us to practice our photography, using lights and set-ups that many of us do not have access to at home.
We asked a couple of members from the Faversham Mission Brass to come along for an informal shoot and we got some great results:

This is Jim, a tuba player. This is one heavy instrument and Jim mentioned that when they are playing in cold weather, it is just like cuddling an iceberg!

I think Becs is the youngest member of the group … but she really joined in and had some great ideas for some more slightly “relaxed” pics …

Thank you all so much for coming along to the club – it was great to meet you and I hope that you will be pleased with the pictures that we achieved!
I had the absolute pleasure of joining Mike and Maureen last Thursday when they were married at Canterbury Registry Office.
As soon as I met Mike and Maureen the week before their wedding, I had the feeling that this wedding day would be full of laughter and emotion, and it really was … unfortunately, the weather was overcast and rainy, but it did not detract in the slightest from this joyous occasion!
In the waiting room, Mike and his best man, Bob, cut dashing figures …

Mike and Maureen were joined by Mike’s son, Billy, and Maureen’s daughter, Becs, and close family and friends.
It was certainly an emotional celebration, with jokes by Mike about rings which probably should stay within the room!

However, rings successfully exchanged, Mike and Maureen are now husband and wife …

Congratulations to you both!

So, then it was back to the Syndale Park Motel for further festivities … I will be posting a slideshow over the next few days … but there was no pressure at all from the bride, groom and bestman to get the best shots …

More to follow very soon and I am really looking forward to sharing Mike and Maureen’s pictures with them …

I photographed baby Joseph way back in July 2008 Baby Joseph and saw him again on Sunday at my godson’s christening … hasn’t he changed?
Those adorable blue eyes …
It’s so important to document all these changes as children grow so fast … I hope to be seeing Joseph and his sister Grace again very soon … for more beautiful photographs!
Our godson was christened on Sunday in a lovely, family service. So well behaved, even though he did get quite a soaking!
We spent a great afternoon with family and friends celebrating … whilst he slept …
He is just such a lovely mannered boy and we are all looking forward to sharing with him as he grows and prospers …

Much love from your proud godparents …

We also had great fun putting together some photographs so that we can make a book for James to keep for the future. Thanks to everyone who joined in and made it so enjoyable!

I hadn’t realised how much fun maternity shoots would be. It’s my cousin and his wife and I had such a great time and we laughed so much. Liz looks absolutely beautiful and unbelievably the baby is due in a week’s time – she really does look gorgeous and it was truly an honour to be able to share this special time with them.

I am so looking forward to meeting baby Tiegan and photographing her and also doing a whole family shoot – it will certainly be busy! Much love to you both and hope that Tiegan makes a safe arrival ahead of schedule!
I am off for a maternity shoot this afternoon with my cousin’s wife – she is expecting a baby girl next Friday … so I just had to go out in my local town of Faversham to find some “props”.

I am really looking forward to seeing my cousin – I haven’t seen them both since their wedding three years ago …

My very talented colleague, Kay Hanley, has been supplying us all with hand-made unique birthday and Christmas cards for several years. Her profits are donated to Cancer Research and she can accommodate the most unusual requests!
Kay has now decided to branch out into more funky and unusual greetings cards – the shoes above are actually a “card” which Kay was commissioned to make – they were just so beautiful and different that I just had to get a picture – and I thought that I would promote them here … just in case!

The birthday wishes are written on the sole of the shoe – and I am sure that this particular pair will be treasured!
And I’ve just heard that Kay has also made some in leopard skin print …
Kay’s contact details are below, just in case you fancy ordering some unique and individual cards with a real personal touch: kay.hanley@tiscali.co.uk.
