I have just spoken to Kate and she and James are now back from their honeymoon in Paris. First class on Eurostar and it sounds as though they had a wonderful and relaxing time.

Kate is really looking forward to seeing the pictures from their wedding and asked me to post a few more here before sending the disc to them.

So, the story unfolds at Ash Ridge Farm, near Canterbury … on a very wet morning … the preparations for the bride were reaching fever pitch … with all hands on deck (including me, making the tea …)

The bride's preparations

The beautiful jewellery and flowers make for a great montage …

A quick dash across country (thanks SatNav …), and I arrived for the final preparations at Great Farthingloe Barn, with Ian (the best man), making final adjustments to James’s buttonhole (can you spot the rain drops?)

However, once the ceremony started, all eyes were on the happy couple …

Kate and James

After the ceremony, led by Celebrant Tim Chicken, the guests and Kate and James made their way into the marquee for canapes and real ale. The rain finally abated after the hog roast, and we managed to cajole the guests outside for a group shot … can you spot everyone?

We had a few moments to get some shots of Kate and James before the light finally went …

We were just getting some final shots of Kate looking gorgeous, when her attention was a bit distracted …

Kate and James

Thanks again to Kate and James and all your friends and family for making me feel so incredibly welcome. I am sure that you all enjoyed your day and it truly was a wonderful celebration for a wonderful couple!

I am so lucky in my new role as a full-time photographer. I get to photograph people on the happiest days of their lives, celebrating happy events to come, and the joy of small babies.

I recently photographed Amanda, who is due to have her baby in early June.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Amanda and can’t wait until the baby arrives in early June. I am quite sure that this baby will be cherished and adored and I am so looking forward to photographing her.

I had only popped round to visit Baby {L} and his mum to hand over the slideshow of our recent session … however, he was just looking so adorable, that I just couldn’t resist:

His mum asked me to take a photo of Baby {L}’s feet, as there is a member of the family who finds them just too cute!

I had the great pleasure of photographing Kate and James’s celebrations on Friday 17 April 2009. I am posting a quick teaser … we managed to get some time late on in the day (ca. 7.30pm) when it finally stopped raining.

Kate and James first look

I am starting to process the rest of the pictures and will be in touch with Kate and James so that I can show them the slideshow of their special day. I hope that you are enjoying your married lives and look forward to seeing you both again very soon.

I will be posting more pictures after I have seen Kate and James …

Just posting a quick teaser from the wedding preparations today – the celebration is on Friday. It is a humanist ceremony and Kate and James were married this morning at the Folkestone Registry Office.

Kate and James Miller

I am so looking forward to the celebrations tomorrow and it was great to meet James’s best man, Ian, and Kate’s bridesmaids, Linda and Clare.

Let’s hope that the weather holds … but I am sure that it will be a beautiful and enjoyable day.

A few of my favourites from our recent session – enjoy!

This super little chap has a big name to live up to! I had the pleasure of meeting him, and his mum today and finding out more about him. He almost shares my birthday, which makes him even more special.

Just wanted to post this little teaser … but there will be more to come.

Baby {L}

As promised, here are some more from Oliver’s session this week:

And I know that mummy will just love this one – Oliver doesn’t really like being on his front, but he really posed for this one …

Oliver

I have really enjoyed editing this session and look forward to showing Oliver’s parents the final set.

Oliver’s mummy used to be a colleague of mine until she went on maternity leave and I left the firm.

Luckily for me, they only live 15 minutes drive away … which means that hopefully I will be able to photograph this gorgeous little boy again.

I just had to post this little teaser …

Baby Oliver

Thanks so much for the lovely cups of tea, Nicky (and the chocolate biscuits)! I’ll start working on the other pictures!
