I can’t believe that it was only yesterday that I photographed Jo and Ed and their wedding celebrations. I have so much enjoyed looking through the images and know that Jo will be checking if I have posted … so here is the story of Jo and Ed’s day, as captured by me …
The house was buzzing when I arrived to shoot Jo’s bridal preparations … make-up being applied, music on and mum, Jane, all ready to go. Details are an important part of any wedding day, and here are some of Jo’s …
First of all, Jo and Georgia’s dresses (Georgia is 20 months old and just delightful …)
And Georgia’s little bag (filled with raisins, just in case she got hungry …) and Jo’s bracelet …

And what detail shot would be complete without shoes …

And of course, the bride’s “before and after” shots …

And Georgia, looking pretty as a picture …

The rest of Jo’s family were arriving and the Rolls Royce too, so it was time to make our way to Langtons Registry Office in Hornchurch … a truly beautiful venue

Ed isn’t one for having lots of photos taken …

and Jo was arriving … the registrar requested that no photos be taken during the ceremony as it can be a little distracting … but I managed to take a couple of pictures … I just love this one …

And then it was time to go outside into the beautiful sunshine with the new Mr and Mrs Hall …

And of course, we had to get a couple of pictures of Jo … and the boys and with the girls
Now you see what I mean about having so many photos that I wanted to share. I’ll just end this rather long post with a picture of Jo and Ed …

Have a lovely time on your cruise and speak to you soon! Congratulations again!
I just wanted to post a quick teaser from yesterday’s wedding of Jo and Ed at Langtons Registry Office, Hornchurch, Essex. The weather was wonderful, the bride was gorgeous and I have so many pictures that I want to share.
But, just for the moment, have a look at this montage … Jo and Ed wanted “a large shot with us small” … well, after getting that shot, I asked them to run – and I can only call this my “Sound of Music” moment – just love it!

More pictures will follow … but I would just like to say thank you to Jo and Ed and their families for once again making me feel so comfortable and for joining in and making my “job” so much fun.
I used to work in a law firm in London but since taking up photography full-time, I am working much closer to home. So I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to travel back up to the “Smoke” to do some corporate photography. And, of course, some for myself!
A couple of images that caught my eye – no, I wasn’t that close to the London Eye but had my hefty zoom lens with me!

As I was travelling back past Paternoster Square and St Paul’s Cathedral, I noticed the unusual skies and jumped off the bus to take a few snaps …

It was great to be back in town and catch up with friends and I am planning my next trip already!
I just wanted to post some pictures from Saturday’s wedding in the hope of catching the bride and groom before they jet off on honeymoon … the weather forecast had been for heavy rain all day, but luckily the rain stayed away until we arrived at the venue.
But first things first … at every wedding, there are always details and these, in particular, were especially meaningful to Michaela …

And the dress, of course!

I didn’t get to see Michaela in her dress – I had to dash off to the church, to capture the guests arriving and, of course, the groom and his best man (in this case, the couple’s son, Rhys). They both looked splendid …

The bride and her father arrived soon after at St Martin’s Church in Herne in a beautiful blue Rolls Royce.
After a very moving ceremony, which also included Rhys’s christening, we managed to get some photographs done in the grounds before going to the reception venue at the King’s Hall in Herne.

As we arrived, the rain started and the afternoon’s celebrations started. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t allow us to take the creative shots on the beach that we had planned, but we did manage to get a few, despite the downpour!

We set up a “photo booth” for some after dinner pictures … but I will post those separately.
Thank you all for making me feel so welcome on your special day and I do hope that you have better weather on your honeymoon!
