New season … and a new project …

Spring is nearly here in the UK … at least, the sun shone today and it felt pleasantly warm. I haven’t blogged for a little while – I have so many projects in my head at the moment and am getting a regular stream of wedding photography queries – it just feels great.

However, my latest project is to build a portfolio for a local restaurant Olivier @ Faversham Bistrot. I have worked with Olivier before, taking photographs of his menu for a recipe book. Now the Bistrot is licensed for weddings and we are putting together a portfolio.

I decided to get some practice in today in the beautiful weather …

We are shooting at the restaurant next week … weather permitting. I’ve got my fingers crossed for good weather again!

Princesses and Knights party

What a colourful party! So many beautifully dressed young people and such great entertainment … just a few sneak peek pictures below from Scarlett’s fourth birthday party …

The signs were out, guiding the princesses and knights to the party …

The birthday princess was waiting … but just a couple of photos first …

The wait was almost unbearable …

But soon everyone was enjoying the party …

Thank you to Princess S’s parents for being so hospitable on the day – I thoroughly enjoyed myself and hope that all the princesses and knights did too!

Family portrait session

I had the opportunity to photograph a wonderful family at the weekend who are also very dear friends.  Photography is all about capturing the moment – and I have to say that the memory of my friend jumping star jumps behind me to get her sons attention will live in my memory for a long, long time …

I love the way that this next shot looks like a heart …

The boys

By the time we got to the family shot, the boys were a little bit tired … but still lovely!

The parents

We had so many shots to look through, but I’m pretty sure that dad will have a new picture for his desk at work!

I really had a great time and I think the boys were quite exhausted by the end of the session. One thing I did learn is to do the group shots first …

Thanks again and big hugs to you all xxx

Baby Tiegan’s brothers and sisters …

Just a quick sneak peek preview of the other members of Tiegan’s family – we had such great fun, hair flicking, head banging etc but managed to calm down (a little) and get this great shot of Tiegan’s older sisters and brothers … more to follow very soon!

Brother and sisters

Maureen and Mike … as promised, a few more …

We had a photobooth at Mike and Maureen’s wedding which worked really well as they had an open house in the afternoon for family and friends.  Everyone joined in and we had great fun …

And we were roaring, too!

I’ll be meeting up very soon with Maureen and Mike to show their photographs from their wonderful day!
