Faversham photographer Samantha Jones photographs Tracy and James’s wedding celebrations at Reads Restaurant in Faversham

I thoroughly enjoyed photographing Tracy and James’s wedding this morning at Reads in Faversham. Tracy’s brother and his family were connected by Skype from New Zealand and certainly added an international flavour. The celebrations continue tomorrow, but I wanted to add a quick “sneak peek” from today …

I’d like to thank everyone for making it all such fun … and we get to do it again tomorrow too!

Faversham photographer shoots at the Camera Cafe in Faversham

Thank goodness the weather stayed dry and bright for last night’s Camera Cafe, run in conjunction with fellow photographer, Tim Stubbings. We met our group of photo-addicts at Creek Creative (visit their site at www.creek-creative.org) and then took a stroll down Abbey Street to the creek.

Along with Holli Dillon, our model, and with excellent direction from Tim, I hope that our keen photographers learnt more about using available light, reflectors, off camera flash, all in the space of an hour and a half! Excellent value … and here are some of my shots …

Holli was a great model and you can find her on Model Mayhem (Holli Dillon Model Mayhem). She took direction very well and I very much enjoyed working with her.

So if you fancy expanding your knowledge about your camera and getting off of the automatic setting, drop me a line – I know that Tim will be running more cafes throughout the summer. Thanks everyone for being so enthusiastic and I think we all learnt something new! And if you want to check out my website, the link is www.samanthajonesphotography.co.uk!

Surrey photographer, Samantha Jones shoots four brides in The Sculpture Park and a hayloft …

What an amazing day and what an amazing group of beautiful ladies! I got in contact with Sian from Esc Weddings (check out their site at www.esc-weddings.co.uk) and, with her excellent organisational skills, she got together a group of brides who were prepared to Rock their Frocks! Sian also organised access to The Sculpture Park (visit the site at www.thesculpturepark.com) and I think she must have sorted out the weather too as it was glorious!

We were assisted by Rebecca Clark, an experienced make-up artist (her site is at www.rebeccaclarkmakeup.co.uk) who was also one of the brides getting back into their dresses.

We started the day at The Sculpture Park which is based near Farnham … and here are the results …

Once I had this shot in the bag, I knew it was going to be a great day!

With elephants …

And more sculptures …

There is so much potential for fabulous images, with Rebecca getting up close and personal with a crocodile …

And on a sculpture …

With Lucy looking fabulous in her dress and wrap …

And gorgeous young Gracie, a true model in the making …

We then moved on to the hayloft, where we met up with Katie and little Esme …

Katie really could “smile with her eyes” …

And here’s Lucy, after a quick outfit change …

We got so many wonderful shots from our day that I really can’t show them all … but just one final portrait …

Thanks to everyone who made this day so special and to the other photographer, also called Samantha Jones for coming along too!
