Anita and Dan {married} at Westenhanger Castle

What an amazing and fun day! From Anita’s arrival at Westenhanger Castle in a stretch limo, to the flowergirl, Laura, and her friend kicking up a storm on the dance floor, it was a delight to be a part of Anita and Dan’s celebrations.

So, here’s the story of their day … sit back, pull up a chair … there’s a lot of pictures to share!

The staff at Westenhanger think of the smallest details and I enjoyed tucking into a bacon roll accompanied by a steaming mug of tea! Just the right thing to start off the day!

Nearly ready – you might notice that there are a couple of pictures of Laura, the flowergirl … she was just a supermodel!

And ready for the ceremony … Anita asked for the fire in the ceremony room to be lit and it was the first one of the season …

A really sweet touch was when the registrar asked Laura to check that Dan had put the wedding ring on properly … her face was a picture of delight!

And outside for some formal shots … unfortunately, it had started to drizzle by this time but everyone joined in the spirit of things, even though it was a bit chilly! (Especially grandad – you were FAB!)

I took some time with Anita and Dan to make good use of the gorgeous autumn colours and backdrop at Westenhanger Castle – I could imagine that weddings at any time of year would be very special here …

Anita was an absolutely trouper – the grass was a bit wet and she didn’t want to damage her wedding shoes so she took them off and walked barefoot across the grass! I think it was worth it!

And then on to the speeches and the meal …

Whilst everyone was tucking in, I was busy putting together a slideshow so that Anita and Dan’s evening guests could enjoy the day … it was quite a challenge to get it done in time but was wonderful to see everyone watching and commenting on the pictures so it was really worth it.

My time with Anita and Dan was slowly coming to an end … but not before the bridesmaids asked for some shots with their bride … and the cake was cut!

And on to the first (and second dance) and some pretty cool dancing shots!

Anita, Dan and I went for one last stroll into the grounds and got some unusual, long exposure shots just using the ambient light which you can see in the montage above. Although it was a bit difficult to get them to keep still for four seconds as they just wanted to cuddle all the time!

Thanks to everyone who made my day so fabulous and I hope that you enjoyed sharing Anita and Dan’s celebrations. If you have enjoyed looking through the pictures, why don’t you leave a comment for the happy couple?

With all best wishes and much luck for your future lives together xxx
