Family photoshoot for a special birthday {sneak peek}

This really is the tiniest of sneak peeks … just one shot from this evening’s shoot on the seafront at Whitstable as Michelle celebrated a special birthday and was given a photoshoot experience by her family …

Despite the wind, I think everyone had fun. I know I did! Thanks again everyone for making it such a pleasure to spend an hour by the seaside … hope you found somewhere for your fish and chips! xx

Rachel and Pete – “Rock the Frock” {sneak peek}

Wow. What more can I say. Just wow. I photographed Rachel and Pete’s wedding last July (you can see their day here). We had to postpone this shoot from last week due to the rain … but, oh goodness me, we could not have picked a better day.

Take a look:

We started off at the chandlery at Faversham Creek, then moved on to Seasalter, getting lots of interest from passersby!

Pete got a bit of off-camera lighting tuition too, although he was put to hard work making that veil fly!

I just don’t know which is my favourite …

But I think it is the one just above. And one last pic … in an aptly named Close near to where I live …

Rachel, you were amazing. Pete, you were great too. And yes, Rachel does look beautiful! If you are interested in getting back into your wedding dress, do drop me a line sam@samanthajonesphotography.co.uk. It’s great fun, we don’t get the dress too dirty and just look at the amazing images!

James and Sarah’s {rock ‘n’ roll} wedding – sneak peek

Sarah and James were married yesterday and I had been looking forward to their wedding for ages. With black and white polka dresses for the bridesmaids and 50’s theming throughout, I knew it would be colourful and fun. Take a look …

And one final shot …

I think that you will all have partied far into the night and thank you so much for being super-fabulous! xx

{Lifestyle photoshoot} – dodging the clouds with Marta and family

Thank goodness Marta scheduled her family photoshoot when she did – we literally got back to their house and the rain started … I wanted to post a couple of images for them to enjoy and share with their families abroad …

Both children seemed to enjoy themselves …

And daddy too …

The weather was just perfect, with blue skies and fluffy white clouds (if we had looked in the other direction, we would have seen the rain clouds coming!) …

And one final, happy smiley shot!

Thanks again to you all for making it such fun … the online gallery will be open very soon. I am taking bookings for midweek family and lifestyle photoshoots so, if you like what you see here, do drop me a line sam@samanthajonesphotography.co.uk to book your session in the diary. And let’s hope the sun keeps shining!

{Pre-wedding} photoshoot with Karen and Dan

Karen and Dan have booked me for their November wedding – apparently, they aren’t too keen on having their photo taken so I am really glad that they decided to take up the offer of a pre-wedding photoshoot. We were blessed with a lovely evening (despite the forecast for heavy rain) and took advantage of the grounds at Hadlow Manor where they will be getting married.

As usual for my photoshoots, there were lots of people milling around the grounds so we had to find a more secluded spot so that Karen and Dan didn’t feel too much as though they were being watched! We used a variety of set-ups and lighting and I think it gave them a good idea that wedding photography doesn’t have to be long winded … or indeed, boring! It was just … fun!

As the sun was out, and the shadows were great … it made sense …

And the sky was gorgeous too!

By this time we seemed to have a couple of onlookers … but that didn’t stop us!

The engagement ring … with inscription too.

And then a bit of creative … stuff …

Now, you know when your clients are a bit more relaxed about being photographed …

Well, it was there! And one final shot to finish of Karen and Dan’s sneak peek …

I hope you both enjoyed yourselves – I certainly did. November is going to come around really quickly and I hope that you are blessed with a gorgeously sunny day. Thanks again for making it such fun!

Nova-IT Solutions {business branding photoshoot}

This damp British weather has really scuppered some great photoshoots planned … but luckily at the offices of Nova-IT Solutions (check out their website www.nova-itsolutions.com we had plenty of room for their up-to-date business profile images … with the help of a couple of “members of staff …”.

Heather and Roland run Nova-IT (do take a look at their site to see just how many awards they have won!). Their business colours are predominantly orange and blue and luckily there is a wall painted in one of those colours which we could incorporate into the shots …

Heather wanted to be creative with their shoot and had suggested motorbikes … but it rained, and rained, and then rained some more! But it didn’t dampen our spirits!

And one final shot with one of their “staff members” …

If you are looking for up-to-date images for your website profile or internet pages, do drop me an email sam@samanthajonesphotography.co.uk and check out the details on my site www.samanthajonesphotography.co.uk. Thanks again to Heather and Roland for lifting my spirits on a dull and damp day! Looking forward to seeing you again at the B2B 2011 Business to Business Exhibition where they will be at stand 99a.
