Jayden at one year old with special guests, Mickey and Minnie!

I joined one year old Jayden and his family yesterday for his first birthday party … and there was a special surprise for him too!  He’s a great fan of Mr and Mrs M Mouse and they knew it was his birthday and popped round to join in the celebrations!

Here’s a quick sneak peek … we started outside, getting some fabulous candid shots with bright colours … just perfect for this blue-eyed boy!

Then a quick snack for Jayden with his birthday hat …

And then time for his special guests!

By this time, our birthday boy was getting a bit tired with all his exertions – after all, it was a busy day! Thanks so much for getting me along to photograph this special occasion and the full online gallery will be up very soon! And thank you to Mickey and Minnie for making a special appearance (you can find more out about them here)!

A new idea for bridal favours …

You may remember that I’ve carried out some product photography for the fabulous UK supplier of Washitapes whose website is www.washitapes.co.uk (you can see the latest sneak peek on my blog post Washitapes product photography).

I just wanted to share with you a fabulous craft idea that Washitapes UK posted about on Facebook. I think it’s just gorgeous and could be a great and creative idea for the DIY bride looking for bridal favours with a difference. There’s even a tutorial on how to make them here www.toriejayne.blogpost.com.au! The keyrings are from a collection at Cath Kidston www.cathkidston.co.uk.

These are just so sweet and I want to make them myself! Of course, if you need a supplier of Washitapes, do get in touch with the largest UK supplier www.washitapes.co.uk!

I went to Croydon on a very sunny day …

to join Julie and Peter in their wedding celebrations! The sun shone, the bubbly flowed and the laughter and smiles … well, it was just amazing! My photography is all about emotion … so here’s a fab sneak peek of the newly weds …

And on the steps of the town hall …

And after they were whisked away in their silver Rolls Royce Silver Cloud (beautifully chauffeured by Roger from www.weddingcars4you.co.uk), Julie and Peter made their way to Coombe Lodge for their wedding breakfast in the light and airy conservatory.

OK, one more shot to illustrate the laughter … Julie and her daughter Sarah …

I hope that you all had the most amazing celebration on this gorgeous day … with much love and all best wishes for the future!

Welcome to the world … here’s a sneak peek of 11 day old Ben …

How time flies. Only last summer I was photographing Ben’s mum and dad’s wedding and now he’s having a photoshoot of his own! I know that mum and dad can’t wait to show off their online gallery from today’s photoshoot but I did promise a sneak peek … so here goes!

As Ben was sleeping soundly in his crib, his first teddy (and indeed, his first Steiff) had to stand in so that I could get my lighting spot on … and then came the still sleeping Ben …

He did, really, sleep like a baby. My tiny clients don’t usually sleep, but Ben did … oh boy, did he! It was just great to be able to get some really close up shots of those little fingers and toes and some images like these …

I’m so looking forward to documenting Ben as he grows as mum and dad have booked one of my bump to baby packages – I already think he has a little personality all of his own! I hope that this sneak peek was OK, mum and dad, and the rest will be up very soon. Promise!

Matilda Daisy at one year old … more gorgeous pics!

She really is a little superstar – the most gorgeous laughter when her daddy makes “monster” noises and the sweetest smile when she is concentrating on her favourite piece of mummy’s jewellery. I do offer bump to baby packages but the relationship doesn’t have to stop there. I am always delighted to be invited back to capture any special celebrations and to document the growth and developments of my fabulous “mini” clients … take a look …

The mirror made for some cute shots …

And Matilda is nearly standing and loves being by the window …

And she’s very confident in front of the camera … although she was so mesmerised by mummy’s necklace …

I offer photography in the comfort of your own home and have great feedback from parents – no worry about changing, feeding, finding the right toy, it’s all there at hand. You can never guarantee the mood of your baby but I am confident that, with patience (and tea …), we will always achieve beautiful results. If you are expecting a baby during the summer months, please do book in your sessions now … and even if I missed them when they were tiny, I can still capture enduring images to treasure. Give me a call on 07786 314973 or email me at sam@samanthajonesphotography.co.uk. Hope to meet you very soon!

It’s wedding fair season …

I’m delighted to have been invited to show at two venues this weekend which have me on their list of preferred suppliers.  So if you are coming along to the Wedding Experience at Hadlow Manor this Sunday 11 March, do pop by and say hello … I’m also having a small stand at Stonelees Golf Club (because sadly I can’t be in two places at once!).

You can see images from my most recent wedding at Hadlow Manor in a blog post here: Karen and Dan at Hadlow Manor … and I’m looking forward to photographing my first wedding at Stonelees where I visited on a very sunny day last year: Stonelees Golf Club.

If you are visiting Stonelees and are interested in receiving a quote or booking a consultation for your wedding day photography, please do fill out one of the forms which you will find on my stand. And, of course, if you are visiting Hadlow Manor (Hadlow Manor wedding fair times), we can always sit down and have a chat and you can tell me all about your plans. There is a special additional extra for wedding photography bookings taken at Stonelees and Hadlow … there will be a QR code for you to scan or a weblink to download. So it really is worth popping along, seeing some albums in their full glory and maybe watching a slideshow or two!

See you there!
