Boutique hotel … what does that actually mean?

I’ve been following the renovations at No. 64 The Joiners for a while and couldn’t wait to make an appointment to go and visit. Chatting to one of the lovely owners, Sharon, she told me about the vision that she had to create a beautiful boutique hotel … and she has certainly brought that vision to life. With beautiful wallpapers and crisp white linen, toiletries from The White Company and baths made from volcanic stone (they stay hot longer, apparently), you couldn’t wish for a more tranquil and stylish place to rest your head. Sharon is already taking bookings from brides who want to stay the night before their wedding and who want to have a designer boutique hotel room to get ready in … as a photographer, I can’t wait to photograph my first bride taking advantage of these lovely surroundings … I can see the stunning images already! And to have this little hideaway as your wedding night hotel … a dream indeed! Sharon and her team have built an informative website (currently using their own images) and you can find No. 64 The Joiners in the High Street in West Malling. Their website is www.no64thejoiners.co.uk and I’m looking forward to returning very soon for a new creative project that I’m working on!

There are four rooms at No. 64 The Joiners, all in very different styles – take a look!

This last room has quite a masculine feel and would be perfect for the men in the wedding party!

All in all, this boutique hotel ticks all the boxes: situated in a vibrant high street, easily accessible and stylish through and through. If you do decide to book a stay, do mention to Sharon that you saw No. 64 The Joiners on my blog – I’m sure she’d be delighted!
