As I drove cross-country to meet up with Kily and Ed, I was a little concerned that I might go straight past this little hidden gem … I had looked at a bird’s eye view on the internet but I wasn’t prepared for just how gorgeous it would be. I arrived a little early and found about more about the history of the chapel from Gail. And then Kily and Ed arrived and Gail opened the doors … and I was speechless. Lit by just the smallest of windows and a multitude of candles, with hay bales as “pews” and possible Templar markings on the walls, this felt good. Really, really good. The wedding itself isn’t until September (how many weeks, Kily?) but we had some time booked in the diary for a pre-wedding photoshoot. I know that Ed doesn’t really like having his photo taken, so hopefully I’ve now assuaged his worries but I hadn’t realised just how photogenic his bride-to-be is … check out their sneak peek below!
With their drinks reception being held after the ceremony, there will be lots of time for some candid photographs of guests enjoying the late summer sun (and it will be sunny …). But it was the best thing to hear Kily say that I will get some time alone with them before leaving for their reception venue … oh, how good that sounds!
I didn’t have to give this smiley couple any posing directions at all. I just clicked away whilst they laughed and giggled. Ed is a strength and conditioning coach (www.invictastrength.com) and I’m sure that his wife-to-be was just checking his muscles …
What a lovely way to spend an afternoon. I’m looking forward to sharing the rest of your images with you so that you can choose your favourite for your signature board. And I’m also very much looking forward to capturing the fun and laughter that I am sure will be a huge part of your September wedding. xx
Wonderful pre wedding shots of my daughter and son in law to be. If these are anything to go by the wedding photos will be fantastic! Many thanks,

As Ed’s proud mum: if these are the taster, then roll on the meal! Looking good already. This is such a beautiful venue, which just oozes history from its stone walls. A recipe for a wonderful day to come.
