From The Blazing Donkey to Bali … Tasha and Nick’s wedding {the full story} … part one!

but not the Bali bit. You may have seen Tasha and Nick’s sneak peek on the blog earlier this month. As they have now returned to these shores after their amazing honeymoon adventure, it’s time to sit down, relax, and enjoy the story of their day as captured by me … after a heavy shower of rain in the morning, I arrived to blue skies and wind. Lots and lots of wind. Following the noises of busy bridesmaids and the popping of champagne corks, I found Tasha, hard at work in her bridal preparations …

And with flowers being delivered (and more champagne …), preparations were gaining momentum. And the details and jewellery and fans and … apples were in evidence …

And heartfelt words and gifts …

And the dress and cathedral length veil …

Tasha was being helped into her beautiful dress by her mother so I went in search of the boys …

And photographed the tables which certainly had a very exotic feel to them!

Sometimes, it’s difficult to tie a tie correctly … after much discussion of Windsor knots and other variations, it was just easier for one of the boys to tie everyone’s ties for them …

And climbed trees to decorate them with the origami birds which had been handmade by Tasha and Nick over the previous few months …

There was just time for some groom and groomsmen portraits …

And back to the bride …

Oh Tasha, you looked amazing!

And the cutest little flowergirls and pageboy too!

The groom was patiently waiting with the guests, desperate to get their first glance of the bride! See those images and more in part two
