Rosie and David are married … part one of the wedding day story!

You may have seen Rosie and David’s sneak peek on the blog and I’ve very much enjoyed looking through and editing their images. With their wedding being in a church and quite local to me, I attended the rehearsal and so knew what was expected and where and what I was allowed to do!

As their ceremony was scheduled for midday, it was an early start for everyone involved in the preparation for the day … I arrived at Rosie and David’s Canterbury home to be greeted by a buzzing and excited group of people!

But first, the details …

Beautiful flowers, in fact, some of the loveliest that I have seen so far … I guess it’s great to have a bridesmaid who is also a florist! And the dress – handmade by Rosie’s aunt and beautifully decorated too …

And Rosie had the most gorgeous wedding shoes too …

And, all too soon, it was time to be helped into that beautiful and unique dress …

And time for a few bridesmaids portraits too …

The dresses were incredibly flattering for all the girls and a great choice. And now on to the cheeky pageboy and the bride …

We all sped off to Chilham – all the guests were being guided into the church by the ushers and the bride was close behind … and being chauffeured by a headteacher, no less!

And it was into the packed church … with beautiful singing and a worship band …

And a groom smiling from ear to ear when he saw his bride …

It was an emotional and very moving ceremony. And wedding rings do feel strange …

Rosie and Dave had decided to have the majority of the formal photographs taken at the church and there was time for friends to catch up with each other and for me to be shown a jaunty array of socks …

And for family memories to be made … apparently, Dave and his brothers haven’t been in a photograph together for a long time … and grandparents, who have been married for, oh, a number of years, needed to have their special photograph taken too!

Time for a portrait outside of Chilham Castle …

And then off to Brogdale for the start of the reception!

Do join me later this week for part two!
