How wonderful it is to have such loyal clients. Gemma and Charlie were married all the way back in May 2011 and Gemma and I have kept in contact. I saw that there had been a new addition to the family and was delighted to be contacted by Gemma to join the Bramley family again for a special celebration … this time for her father.
Noel had a specific shot in mind – he wanted an image of him at his desk, reading the paper. Duly obtained …
It was very chilly but the view over the creek from the garden is lovely so the family bravely posed …
And it was great to photograph my wedding couple again! Gemma, you looked absolutely gorgeous!
I recall that Charlie isn’t too fond of having his photograph taken so I cheated … a bit …
And I love the family generations here …
Noel was so pleased with the images that an album has been designed and ordered – I’m very much looking forward to seeing it in print and delivering it too!

Since I first met Madison when she was very tiny indeed, how she has changed! It’s such a lovely thing to return and see a baby grow and develop … but as hard as we tried, we couldn’t get Madison to smile for the camera. Many photographers struggle in this respect … you can create a great rapport with a baby, and get them laughing and giggling and then put the camera up to get the shot … and the smile goes.
But I still think we got some beautiful shots which will be included in Madison’s album …
Mum tried her hardest, we played with toys and I made (very) bizarre faces (thank goodness that there’s no photographic evidence of that!). But I am delighted with this following shot … being tickled by mummy is obviously one of Madison’s favourite pastimes and I love the connection between mother and baby.
What will Madison be like in six months when I return to photograph her at one year? I already know that she’s going to have a fabulous cake … if you would like to join my growing family of newborn to one year babies (or bump to babies), just check out my pricing here or drop me a line firstname.lastname@example.org. Hope to hear from you soon!

It’s always interesting for any blogger to see where their blogs are being read. The search terms are also quite interesting and I must admit that I do get quite a few hits because I share my name with one of the characters in Sex and the City. But I just thought I’d show you the geographical spread of my blog hits over the last year … and to say a big hello to everyone who has enjoyed, shared and commented on my posts.
Not surprisingly, my largest amount of hits comes from the UK but my blog has also been visited from as far afield as the Maldives, Aruba and Armenia. I hope you enjoy what you find here and it really does show that the internet is a wonderful and world wide place!

30 years of marriage. That’s pretty good going. And Bernie and Peter decided to throw their house open to family and friends to help them celebrate – with a Wild West theme and a bucking bronco installed in a marquee, the drinks flowed, the chilli bubbled and the smiles and laughter were evident.
A little bit of history on the bucking bronco (taken from Wikipedia): “A mechanical bull, also known as a rodeo bull or bucking bronco is a machine that replicates the sensation of riding a bucking animal, such as a rodeo bull or horse. It is usually powered by a variable-speed electric motor. Padded flooring is often installed around the equipment in order to prevent injury to those thrown off it.”
The prevention of injury was an important feature as the amount of time that some of the guests spent actually on the bronco was short …
Those things go fast! Most guests had joined in the spirit of the Wild West theme and the colours and variation of costumes was bright and bold!
We had time for some portraits too …
What a great evening – if you were a guest at the party and would like to see the full gallery of images and possibly purchase a print or two, pop across to my gallery website – you will need a password and you can get that from Jemma or Rob or drop me a line email@example.com. Congratulations again to Bernie and Peter and thanks for having me along!

Since a keynote speech from Apple announcing that they would no longer be including disc drives in many of their products, it was time for we photographers to seek out alternatives to the traditional disc presentation for wedding and lifestyle photographs. I had a good look around and came across an excellent company who processed my order quickly, made relevant suggestions and who were just pretty helpful!
And here is the end result:
For it to have been perfect, I would have preferred white boxes and my logo in colour but, hey, I think these look just fine. And because I wanted to be a bit environmentally friendly, I chose a wood product and because I always lose the end caps on my memory sticks, I went for a cheeky little number that folds in on itself …
I’ve already sent out my first full wedding of Billie and Mat and Billie said that she was so excited to receive such a beautifully packaged product.
If you do decide that you would rather just have the images on a disc, I can do that too and have beautiful leather presentation wallets … but I just love my new sticks!
