How to hide a four piece band from a bride … Sarah and David’s {sneak peek} at High Rocks

I don’t know how Sarah’s daughter, Takara, managed it. When she took me to one side and mentioned that a live band had been booked as a surprise for her mum but that everyone was hoping to hide it from the bride and groom until after the first dance, I really didn’t think it would be possible. But when Sarah’s son Kieran encouraged the guests to come through to the reception room and asked them to stand in a crescent shape around the front of the band, I wondered if they might pull it off … and they did!

Can you see Sarah’s surprise when the guests stepped to one side after their first dance and revealed the band? I’m so pleased that I got the shot …

And here’s another little peek at the rocks which give the venue its name …

“It’s like rain … on your wedding day …” Susan and Paul at Hadlow Manor {sneak peek}

Oh, it rained. All day. Torrential at some times. But would you have known it from the smiles on Susan and Paul’s faces? Definitely not. The gifts, the cards, the words of love. The delight and tears on so many faces during the ceremony. The moving speech from the bride’s father … the surprise journey in a Bentley … here’s your sneak peek …

Gemma and David pre-wedding photoshoot {sneak peek}

I was delighted to be able to join Gemma and David as they were discussing their final wedding preparations for their celebrations at The Little Silver Hotel in September. And even more delighted to find this glorious acer tree in the grounds of the hotel … which just needed to be included in some of their pre-wedding images …

The Little Silver Hotel

We were so lucky as about two minutes after these shots, the heavens opened and it poured down. However, it did give us the chance to discuss where we might have their formal shots should the rain fall on their wedding day but I’m sure that the sun will shine on this fabulous couple!

Looking forward to capturing your celebrations …. not long now.
