I know that Jodie, in particular, can’t wait to see her’s and Alex’s wedding photographs. She may have mentioned this fact one or twice to me yesterday … she is a keen photographer herself and it was great to have a bride and groom who, when I asked them to step out between the main course and dessert, did.
And it was worth it …
Jodie, you absolutely glowed. Your love for your new husband shone like a burning flame. I’m so happy that I could spend time with you both and I wish you, and your family, all the happiness for your future lives. And may you enjoy many more sunsets together! Much love xx

Just a quick sneak peek before I leave to photograph my next wedding – I had the pleasure of joining Tracey and Andy and their guests yesterday at Bickley Manor. It’s the first time I’ve photographed a wedding at this venue and I must say that the grounds are really well kept! The sun shone all day which meant that the bride and groom could mingle and chat outside with their guests … so their sneak peek is of them and their gorgeous little son …
And, of course, of the jumping groomsmen … I think a couple were a bit keen!
I hope that you enjoyed the rest of your evening and that the celebrations lasted long into the night. Thanks so much for having me along and it was a special bonus that some of my own family were there too and so I got to spend time with them too! Much love xx

I was absolutely delighted to return to Newlands Chapel near Charing in Kent just over a year after Kily and Ed celebrated their wedding. It really is the most unusual of venues and has a long, and possibly chequered history.
But on Saturday, Karen and Carl’s families and friends joined together in celebrations … and little flower girl Isla stole the show!
Aren’t Connor and Isla just adorable? We had time during the drinks reception after the ceremony to pop back into the chapel …
Karen and Carl had their reception at Shepherd Neame Visitor Centre in Faversham and it was lovely to work in a venue so close to home.
I hope that you have the most wonderful honeymoon and I’m looking forward to sharing your images with you on your return and to see which ones you choose for your album! Much love xx

Stunning. Absolutely stunning. Fun, enjoyable and emotional. It was fabulous to spend the day yesterday with Gemma and David and their families and friends, especially as I photographed Gemma’s brother Luke’s wedding last year so there were a lot of familiar faces.
And, indeed, Luke helped, ably assisted by gorgeous bridesmaid Millie, to get this shot …
It did take a bit of practice … but I think it was worth it!
I think they deserve another couple of images, don’t you?
Have an amazing honeymoon and looking forward to catching up when you are back. Much love to you both xx

It’s the age-old understanding that a wedding day is all about the bride … but I’m not quite sure that this is strictly true. I’ve been second shooting a couple of weddings with Christopher Martin recently and I’ve been covering the groom preps. Usually, when I am photographing a wedding solo, I flit between bride and groom preparations where possible (and depending on location) but I do usually spend the majority of my time with the bride and her bridal party. However, having the responsibility of photographing the boys has been quite an eye-opener – in a good way! I’ve realised that there is as much emotion happening in the “boy camp” as in the “girl camp” and opening of cards and gifts before the ceremony has provided me with some fabulous images … take a look at this small selection from Shayne and Sarah’s wedding celebrations at Little Chart church, otherwise known as St Mary’s ruins.
The bride and groom hail from Canada and they found the ruins at Little Chart on the internet … amazing!
Just look at the amazing colour of the wall! As the name suggests, the church is pretty much completely ruined but does have some of the original floor tiles dotted around here and there.
And who can resist a gorgeous little one …
Sarah’s bouquet was full of lavender and the guests were invited to take a scoop of dried lavender in place of confetti – it got absolutely everywhere!
Sometimes the smallest touch can convey huge emotion.
Luckily the weather cleared and Shayne and Sarah were able to have some photographs taken outside in the beautiful grounds at Eastwell Manor.
And back to those shoes …
It was great to be able to second shoot alongside Chris at this unusual and quirky wedding. And it all started on the internet …
Happy wedding Wednesday!

It’s Wednesday and a good time to show just a few of the beautiful bouquets and wedding flowers that I’ve photographed recently. I’ve been researching a little on why brides carry flowers at weddings and, apparently, one of the reasons cited was that they were used to cover up the scent of the unwashed … but I think this blog post by Fuchsia Flower Design probably couches it in nicer terms!
(Images from a fabulous Kent wedding, organised by the lovely Amanda of Amanda Jane Wedding Planning and amazing flowers by Claire of Unique Floral Creations)
(I second shot this gorgeous wedding in May with Kathy Ashdown)
(I photographed alongside Chris Martin at this wedding)
I’ve had the chance to photograph some amazing weddings this season, with many more to come before the year is out. If you are planning your wedding and would like to chat more about booking a photographer, do drop me a line firstname.lastname@example.org!

Once again, I am delighted to have been asked to exhibit at the Wedding Experience wedding fair at Hadlow Manor near Tonbridge. As I am one of their recommended suppliers, I know the venue inside out, come rain or shine and very much enjoy photographing wedding celebrations there.
You can find out more about the fair by checking out their flyer …
There will be lots of lovely new images and albums for you to browse and I hope to see some of my past, and future, clients at the fair too. And a little special offer for on-the-day bookings – so if you’ve been thinking about booking, take advantage of the offer at the fair and come along.
Looking forward to meeting you all!
