Billie and Mat – the storyboard of their January wedding

Now that the weather has turned colder again, and I finally have time for some blogging, the cold snap has made me think of Billie and Mat’s celebrations way back in January. With snow still on the ground, outside shots were at a premium and we had to seek sanctuary in the reception room at The Russell Hotel for the group shots. Billie and Mat’s schedule was quite complex but we met a few times before the day to ensure that everything would run to plan … and it did!

From the amazingly high shoes (Mat is 6′ 10″ …)

To a super cute bridesmaid who loved having her photograph taken …

To the boys …

To an emotional walk up the aisle with her son and father …

And smiles and giggles at signing the register …

We stepped out briefly into the freezing weather for a couple of portraits but it was really freezing!

Billie and Mat had a sweetie display – which was certainly enjoyed by the groom before the guests were allowed into the room and also amazing wedding day cookies!

The entire wedding had a train theme, specifically Thomas the Tank engine and the seating plan, cake topper and other details were also based on this (Mat works for the railways).

At the end of the night, Billie had a dress and shoe change and we popped outside for them to make their own smoke machine!

Billie and Mat have certainly had an exciting year with a new baby girl too and I wish them all the luck in their future married lives together. If only it hadn’t been quite so cold … xx
