I admire the work of many photographers and I do follow lots of trends and blogs that they write. And Jerry Ghionis, an Australian photographer, uses the art of “telephone number” posing to relax his couples and get a diversity of images.
So when I had the chance to photograph Chelsea and Ashley just a few days before their forthcoming wedding, and knowing that Ashley really doesn’t like having his photo taken, I thought I’d channel Jerry and see what happened …
The movement in the placing of a hand, the bend in a wrist or the bending of a knee can make a huge difference in the final result.
As can pushing your tongue into the roof of your mouth … simple, but effective! And you wouldn’t notice the difference unless you saw two photos side by side to compare. The light absolutely loves you, Chelsea, and I can’t wait to photograph you in your wedding finery.
