This family are my perfect clients. We first met three years ago when new addition, Darcey, was just a few days old. Since then, I’ve photographed her as she’s grown, I’ve joined big sister Erin and her friends at a birthday party (mad, crazy, fun) and Andy’s parents for a special anniversary and family gathering and also had a spectacular photoshoot with their two camper vans, Ludwig and Matilda (Whitstable Bays). I’ve cuddled their tiny newborn pups and I’m always welcomed with cake and tea. See, perfect. And when mum Suzie suggested that we meet last Saturday in the car park at Perry Woods (an ancient woodland near Selling and Chilham, I wasn’t in the least surprised – October has always proved a great time to have a photoshoot with Darcey and the weather report had been checked and verified … so we did this …
Little Darcey was proving to be a bit camera shy but we worked together … until the rest of the family photobombed us!
And, of course, in Matilda there was cake …
Such fun and a great way to spend an autumn morning – if you haven’t had a family portrait session for ages, why not drop me a line firstname.lastname@example.org and I’d be happy to hear your ideas!

Jemma and Rob celebrated their wedding last December at The Old Kent Barn. It was one amazing day and so much work went into the planning, and execution, of their special celebrations. The cake was one of the largest I’ve seen, the decorations were absolutely perfect with the winter wonderland theme and Jemma and Rob … well, they are pretty amazing too.
We’ve been working hard to get their final album draft completed and, after one or two slight hiccups in production, they are now proud owners of their first piece of joint family history. Why not take a look at their final design …
If you are friends of Jemma and Rob, I have a sneaky suspicion that you might be invited round to view the album … so enjoy sharing their memories of one amazing day!

At Jill and Kevin’s Whitstable wedding last weekend, I joined the bride and her bridesmaids at Flow & Co in Whitstable for some preparation shots.
And I totally fell in love with their style … I want a wall in my house to be covered in bird houses too …
In fact, the whole salon is pretty stylish!
Such a relaxed and enjoyable place to join the girls. Here’s their website just in case you’d like more info … www.flowandco.co.uk.
And for me … well it was photographer’s eye candy!

You may have seen Lynsey and Neil’s sneak peek of their wedding Folkestone on the blog in June of this year. I was delighted that they decided to choose my album package as I feel that a wedding album really is the most beautiful heirloom and a tangible treasure that can be shared with friends and family (rather than just a memory stick).
I asked for, and was given, permission to show you their entire album layout – the process that I work to is that my brides and grooms (and family photoshoot clients) choose their favourite images (I give them a guideline on how many will fit the album size that they have chosen) and then we start the drafting process. After my initial first draft, my clients get two further rounds of amendments but with Lynsey and Neil, it only took one more. They added a couple more images to complete their story – it’s always interesting for me to see which images are chosen by my couples … so why not take a look …
Each of the files is a double page spread and I think Lynsey and Neil made excellent choices. I hope that their album will be shared and enjoyed again and again and brought out on special family occasion … or even just enjoyed over a cup of tea as husband and wife!

We had all been checking the weather reports for Saturday. During the week, the forecast had changed from “persistent showers all day” to “isolated heavy showers” to cloud. I’m delighted to say that the forecasts were wrong.
Joining Jill and her bridesmaids at Flow & Co in Whitstable was a great start to the day. Right by the seaside and full of fun and laughter … and stories of flaming sambuccas (perfect preparation for a nervous bridal party!). There was not a sign of a hangover, indeed, hearty breakfasts had already been taken.
And the weather. The seaside. The obvious delight and love that Jill and Kevin share for each other. The giggles. The holding hands.
The antics …
The sunshine …
The hooting tugboat …
My amazing couple …
Thank you so much, Jill and Kevin, for making Sarah and I feel so very welcome. I’m delighted that your guests thought we were your friends … it kind of feels that way! Can’t wait to share your images with you on your return from honeymoon. Have fun! xx

I’ve just had the pleasure of delivering Jemma and Rob’s album earlier this week to great excitement and delight and I thought that this would be a good time to share with you their lovely testimonial …
I was so pleased to get such a lovely testimonial and they also chose my favourite image from their day to illustrate it (although there were quite a few favourites!). I’ll be blogging about their wedding within the next week and, if you know Jemma and Rob, I’m sure they will be visiting with their gorgeous album very soon!

After not having had any appreciable rain for what seems like months, Naomi and Richard’s wedding day dawned. And it dawned bright and clear. But the forecasts were all for rain at just about 2.15pm … perfect for their 3pm ceremony at Newlands Chapel in Charing.
But did it matter? Oh no, not in the slightest. Yes, there was very little natural light available but it didn’t matter. As Naomi walked up the aisle, their smiles were wide and their delight at being married was quite obvious.
How about the bride and groom being photobombed by the Chapel’s manager, Gail!
And by the time we reached their reception venue, the skies had cleared and the sun was coming out … glorious!
I just love this super smiley shot of the gorgeous bride and her sister Beth. So natural and relaxed!
And just before the bride and groom were being announced into their guests, Naomi mentioned that she had a slight problem with her garter. With the broadest smile, Richard professed to not knowing she was wearing one … and proceeded to help … such a fun moment with lots of laughter too!
I was delighted to be part of your celebrations and hope that you are both having the most wonderful time on your honeymoon. I can’t wait to share the rest of your images on your return xxx
