I was delighted to be invited to cover the grand opening for the new Kent MS Therapy Centre in Canterbury back in January of this year. Chilly weather certainly didn’t stop the warm welcome and sense of delight in seeing such a beautiful new space being available to the local community. Tears flowed during the speeches and the emotion was tangible … to see so many people come together in celebration of their achievements was very humbling indeed. My godfather, many years ago, suffered from MS so I have first hand experience of this illness and the effects it has on day-to-day life.
You can find more details about the centre on their website kentmstc.org.uk and here’s selection of images from the two visits that I undertook …
And images from our morning of photography, showing some of the facilities available at the centre:
I was also delighted to receive some of the promotional literature and to see that some of my images have been used too!
I found my visits inspiring and emotional too. And I look forward to returning when the gardens are ready and the flowers are blooming to capture more images of this wonderful space.
