I was invited along to take part in a photoshoot on Sunday at Kennington Hall, on the outskirts of Ashford. I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect … but was delighted to have the opportunity to photograph lots of different models, some experienced, some not, some grown up and some tiny!
A big thank you to the organisers for the day and an even bigger thank you to the great models who didn’t mind jumping, leaning, getting out in the rain and being fanned for the “wind in the hair” look!

I was introduced to Vicki and Grant by a fellow photographer who was already booked on their day and I’m so very glad that I was. Booked six weeks before their wedding date, we met up at their reception venue, chatted, laughed and got on great.
Then three weeks before the day, their world was turned upside down. This wonderful couple showed the most amazing strength and positivity. They battled together … and won. And the tears flowed …
And rightly so – I was honoured to be a small part of your day and you reminded me once again how incredibly important my job is … and how lucky I am to do it.
Here are just a couple of images which, I think, sum up their day …
A wedding day selfie with my lovely bride …You were both such fun to work with. You followed direction so well and were so easy to photograph. Your families made me feel so welcome and your children are adorable. And they can really work it … shoulders!!!
Much love to you both and looking forward to sharing your final images as soon as I possibly can xxx

I’m finally able to blog the full story of Hayley and Dominic’s wedding last February. As they were featured in the Your Kent Wedding Magazine and then won the “Wedding of the Year” competition, there’s been a bit of a delay in posting their images.
But now I can – and I am delighted to do so! Hayley and Dominic booked me on the strength of a recommendation from Charlotte, one of Hayley’s lifelong friends and bridesmaids. When I arrived at Winters Barns, there were hailstones on the ground and torrential rain. Then blue skies. Then strong gusts of wind. Then rain. Then … you get the picture!
After taking a look around the venue when I arrived, I could see that Hayley and Dominic’s wedding was running true to their theme – as Hayley had chosen the Alfred Angelo design named Ariel from their Disney collection, the colour scheme of charcoal and pink was highlighted in the bridesmaids dresses, the bridal favours, the flowers, the seating plan … in fact, almost everywhere!
Although the wedding was in February, and the weather somewhat changeable, we were able to get outside for some bride and groom portrait shots – Hayley and Dominic were really invested in their photography and happy to work with me to get the results that we all wanted – and it was totally worth it …
It was so cold and windy but Hayley and Dominic were amazing and powered on through. And it was totally worth it. We had to take the formal shots inside the barn itself and then moved on to speeches …
Possibly one of my favourite wedding ring shots … ever!
It was an amazing day spent with amazing people. Thank you also to my second shooter Sarah, who worked so hard on the day and also to the lovely staff at Winters Barns where I am now delighted to be a recommended supplier!
Much love to you both, Hayley and Dominic, and looking forward to capturing lots of exciting adventures in your lives xx

Yesterday was a day full of variety. Rain in the morning, bright sunshine followed, thunder could be heard in the distance and the rain came.
But when I arrived for Teresa and Allan’s wedding at the Dover Marina Hotel, the sight of their ceremony room lifted my spirits and filled my heart with joy …
Their wedding was full of laughter, joy and celebration. I think I can quite confidently say that they enjoyed the whole day … apart from the tiny moment when Allan was waiting for Teresa to make her entrance … but any fears were soon put to rest!
A request from the groom to have Dover Castle in the background … check …
And a request from the photographer for five minutes on the beach before the rains truly came in earnest …
What an amazing day. I had the best time and thoroughly enjoyed meeting Teresa and Allan’s family and friends. Absolutely delightful!
Thank you both so much for making me so feel so very well looked after. I’m so looking forward to catching up on your return and sharing your images … and then starting work on your album too!
Much love xxx

Life long friends do great things for each other. They share stories and secrets and probably drink a glass of Prosecco or two …
And one of my clients bought a birthday gift voucher for her best friend, Rachel. And I met her yesterday … and it was a blast!
Rachel absolutely adores Marilyn Monroe (and Kate Moss). With her hair and makeup beautifully done, we chatted and laughed and worked our way through some fabulous shots …
As you may know, I have two Tibetan Terriers and so just couldn’t resist including Rachel’s beautiful little one in a few images …
You were a delight, Rachel, a true ray of sunshine. Your stories kept me entertained as I leapt around your lounge … what on earth must the neighbours have thought …
