With the advent of this current hot weather in the UK, it has served as a great reminder of Lee and Geoff’s celebrations at Whitstable Castle last July. It was hot. Oh so very, very hot. With impending thunderstorms … but oh my goodness. What an amazing day.
I had met Lee and Geoff at a wedding fair earlier that year and I was delighted that they decided to book me on the spot. This was to be my first wedding at the newly relaunched venue and I was really looking forward to it. And because of Lee’s career in event management, I also knew that it would be well thought out and would run to time. And that the details would be amazing. As would the flowers … in fact, it was all pretty incredible! So I’ll let the images do the talking …
We sought shade for the “formal” shots, although judging by all the laughter and smiles, it wasn’t too formal … which is great for me as a photographer because I think true personalities shine through!
Lee and Geoff hosted a roof top drinks reception and the views across to the ocean were incredible. And so were the oysters! Well, it was in Whitstable … Luckily in the gardens, there was some shade which was a great relief from the intense sun. And Lee and Geoff, well, they were pretty fabulous!
I so enjoyed spending the day with this lovely, genuine couple. Despite the heat, you were both the most consummate hosts, making sure that everyone was comfortable and included. I was delighted too that you had albums and hope that both mums were delighted with the results.
I hope our paths cross again in the future and once again, thank you both so, so much. I loved every moment xx
