Hot on the heels (literally) of Clare and Carl’s wedding, I joined Sarah and Jon and their families and friends in Whitstable for a wedding where the temperature topped 27 degrees. Not for the faint hearted … nor for those wearing kilts, woollen socks, tweed waistcoats and jackets … but it was such an amazing day!
I started early at the hair salon with the bride and we then moved on to the Hotel Continental – the preparation room was at the front of the hotel, overlooking the beach and the cooling sea breezes were most welcome …
Although it was a little tiring for flowergirl, Mia …
After a service at the church of Our Lady Immaculate, we travelled back down to East Quay (www.eqvenue.com), the bride, groom and bridesmaids arriving in style in a Quirky Campervan!
See what I mean about the kilts (and the airforce uniform … with sword later used to cut the cake)
The weather was spectacular and Sarah and Jon had time for a few portraits on the beach.
Joined by their absolutely gorgeous (and so well behaved) dog, Wilson, resplendent in bow tie (East Quay is a dog friendly wedding venue)!
Just before first dance, we popped back out to grab a few sunset shots …
And back inside for Sarah and Jon’s first formal dance as man and wife!
Such an amazing day. Sarah, you looked absolutely stunning and your bridesmaids were the best ever to photograph … and Jon, thank you for letting me boss you and the boys around – I hope you think the pictures are worth it!
And to Wilson … you are just sooooo scrummy! Much love to you all xxx
