I’m delighted to be recommended by the lovely team at Newlands Chapel (www.kentchapelweddings.co.uk) and to have been booked by Naomi and Richard for their October wedding. Newlands is a unique and entirely beautiful venue but is, by its very nature, not blessed with lots of natural light.
And so it was on a very rainy October morning that Gail (the co-ordinator at Newlands) and I met under umbrellas, shrugged our shoulders and trusted that the weather report would be right for later …
As the rain was still pouring down, we made the decision to run through the formal shots inside the chapel … I set up two off camera flashes and shoot through umbrellas and was pleased with the results. Gail said it was the first time ever that the weather had stopped formals being taken in the gardens.
My coverage for Naomi and Richard was only short but so enjoyable. Thank you to everyone who smiled through the rain and to the hog roast which, I must admit, had the best crackling I’d tasted all year! Much love to you both xx
