I first met Ali and Dan last year at Sara and Steve’s wedding. Dan was Steve’s best man and now it was the turn of Dan to be groom. As the couples have become close friends over the years, I wasn’t surprised to see some familiar faces amongst the guests at Chapel Down …
I joined the groom, to his surprise, at the White Lion in Tenterden. The weather was an absolute scorcher and Dan, and his boys, weren’t quite ready for their portrait shots … but maybe for a quick nip of the hard stuff …
I left my second shooter, Sarah, to capture the boys when they were ready and I joined Ali and her bridesmaids at their preparations at the beautiful Odiam Barns … which, being in the countryside, had cooling breezes which were very welcome indeed!Ali sensibly decided to wait until the last possible moment to get into her amazing bridal gown and and so, after capturing a few detail shots and portraits of the bridesmaids, off I went, air conditioning in the car on full blast, to find the boys at Chapel Down. They looked pretty relaxed … And, of course, the girls looked even better! The outside ceremony was beautiful and emotional too. We decided to leave the couple portraits until after the wedding breakfast, in the hope of the light not being quite so harsh and for some great skies … And it was worth it. This time of the evening is called the golden hour and Ali, you glowed! This is, quite possibly, my most favourite ring shot ever. I love it.
This post is only meant to be a sneak peek, with a little teaser of the day … but it was just so hard to narrow down my choices but I am confident that there will be many more fantastic images which I just can’t wait to share with Ali and Dan.
You are both amazing. Ali, you looked cool, calm and composed all day. Dan, super handsome and incredibly relaxed. So happy together. So happy to be married … and to share your day with your families and friends.
I was delighted to be a small part of your celebrations. Sarah and I thoroughly enjoyed the time we had with you all and were made to feel exceptionally welcome.
Enjoy your honeymoon … so many exciting adventures await you and I can’t wait to hear more on your return.
Much love xxx
