Heather and Pete were married in August and had their wedding celebrations at Littlebourne Barn.
I was delighted to receive a lovely personalised thank you card from this fabulous couple and thought I would share a snippet of their note …
It was a pleasure!

I do love to be beside the seaside. And the venue for Jill and Kevin’s East Quay wedding in Whitstable certainly fit the bill for their October wedding. I was delighted to have been booked by this lovely couple who were very open and honest about their wedding. It was going to be a party. With great music. With friends and family. And decorated with pumpkins …
We started off bridal prep at Flow and Co in Whitstable which is a great salon filled with photograph worthy props and which lent itself to some great and fun early morning photos! Jill and her bridesmaids then walked back home to have make up done and to take the odd glass of champagne … great preparations for the day ahead. Jill’s dress was a beautiful sky blue which worked so incredibly well on the breezy day and looked like flowing water! It suited her down to the ground. Also her jewellery, made from sea glass, was a beautiful addition.
I had the chance to get across to the venue in time for some groom photos on the beach and I just love the dramatic skies in the shot of Kevin and his boys!
The wedding rings were inscribed and proudly presented on a handmade ring cushion!
Jill and Kevin were very determined to get sunset shots. Of course, you can never plan what the weather will be like for a wedding but they decided to change the time of their wedding breakfast to make sure that, if we were lucky enough to get some gorgeous light, they would be able to pop out to take advantage … and we did!
Having a live band at a wedding often creates a more dynamic feel and Jill’s old rugby club friend, Jacquie and her band, Project F, certainly got things going!
My second shooter, Sarah and I left the party in full swing and just had the best time. Thank you so much to Jill and Kevin and to your friends and families for making it such a pleasure. Much love xx

As I walk through the woods with my two Tibetan Terriers, it’s really easy to notice the chance in seasons. The colours of the trees are becoming vibrant, a hint of wood smoke in the air and conkers everywhere (I’m sure when I was younger, there weren’t so many conkers …).
So it’s time to launch another round of family photoshoots. Half term is a great opportunity for families when they are relaxed and have time to spend with each other. When better to book a family photoshoot, on the beach or in the woods, to capture your children doing what they naturally enjoy the most … kicking through leaves, collecting conkers … being children.
And, of course, if you have dogs, they are more than welcome to come along too!
Please do email email@example.com for availability of the sessions. A great way of spending time with the family and getting images which really do reflect their personalities.
Sessions last between one to one and a half hours and will be in the local vicinity of Faversham and outlying villages (including the seaside) so long enough to get wonderful images but not too long!

A Thursday wedding. With a fabulous couple. Who did not stop smiling and laughing. An intimate wedding with just 26 guests on a bright October day. And how I enjoyed myself … here’s Becca and Jonathan’s quick sneak peek … starting, of course, with shoes …
My beautiful and very relaxed bride …
And a suitably dapper husband-to-be, with dachshund cufflinks in honour of their two pups!
And a Pinata cake … filled to the brim with Smarties!
Becca and Jonathan really wanted to go up to the castle … and we did, for a mad and incredibly windy 15 minutes!!!
And this final shot serves as a reminder of the many emails between Becca and me during the lead up to their wedding about the best prices for … gin!
I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this wedding … I don’t think I have ever laughed so much at the pronunciation of “Castle” and of the sight of a best man desperately holding on to a great big golden reflector to light my couple. Thanks to you both and all your lovely guests for making my day such a pleasure. xxx
