And the frog came too … family fun in the bluebells

As I spoke to my client, hailstones were raining down in our garden. However, Judith was confident that the weather would be fine for her family’s photoshoot in their secret bluebell location. I drove through the country lanes with darkening skies all around but the the tiniest hint of blue sky.

I just love the look of absolute enjoyment on the girls’ faces!

Additional family members are always welcome and deserve their own photos!

Perched high on a branch, mum was encourage to make the children laugh … I’m still not sure what she was doing!  But it worked!

And it was entirely worth it. This family is a joy to photograph and I’m really looking forward to Judith and Paul’s wedding in September. Thank you all for making it such fun!

Your Kent Wedding of the Year competition – Sian and Jason

I was delighted to hear from editor Ivana at the Your Kent Wedding magazine that one of my lovely couples, Sian and Jason, who were married at Howfield Manor on 31 December last year, have been shortlisted in this round of the Your Kent Wedding of the Year competition.

Voting is now live and it would be amazing if you could take just a few minutes and pop over to vote for them:

Your Kent Wedding – vote for Sian and Jason

But hurry, voting finishes on 20 May … and I would love to see their wedding featured in the magazine!

Institute of Ideas – Debating Matters

I was delighted to be approached by Nadia from the Institute of Ideas (www.instituteofideas.com) for an event being hosted in Canterbury at Augustine House, Canterbury Christ Church University. The brief from the client was to capture behind the scene images to show the event as a whole, to photograph speakers and the judges and then some final group shots at the end.  The event was held in two separate rooms and the quality of the light varied hugely between the two.

Judges deliberation … a tense time all round …

And evident relief that it’s all over!

It was interesting for me to hear the debating and the confidence which with so many of the speakers fielded questions and made their points. I hope to invited to future events!
