What a great couple. What a fabulous venue. It was my first time to shoot a wedding at The Ferry House Inn and I sincerely hope it won’t be my last. I was introduced to Kerry and Andy by a recent mother-of-one-of-my-brides (can I even say that?) and I’m so glad that I was. From start to finish, I smiled, they smiled, everyone smiled. The weather was calm and the sunset a real bonus.
And yes, the bride was wearing a bear hoodie …
I could hear the arrival of the groom before I saw him … and that was because he was driven up in an Aston Martin. Nice!
The flowers matched the cake and the cake matched the flowers. And both smelled amazing!
As I had chatted to Kerry and Andy in our pre-wedding consult, I knew that there was a trigger word that would get them giggling. And they did …
After being overcast for the morning, the skies cleared (a little) and went from this …
To this … we had about two minutes to get this shot and I was helped with the off camera flash lighting by Carl, the best man.
And their first dance was a foxtrot … of sorts!
Far too many photographs for a sneak peek. But how could I not share them? Such a great day from start to finish and it was wonderful to hear the chatter during the wedding breakfast and to see the joy and laughter all round.
Thank you Kerry and Andy for being such a great couple. For speeding out between your starter and your main course because there was a sunset. For that, I will be forever grateful.

I was absolutely delighted to receive a testimonial from lovely Liz, based in France, who recently had a headshot session with me.
Having good, clear and professionally taken headshots can make all the different – I’m so glad that Liz enjoyed her session and was pleased with the results – I love bringing out the best in people!

I was recently asked to put a few words and photographs together to be used in the latest edition of the East Kent Lifestyle Magazine (link to latest edition).
And there is my business, on page 78 … with thanks to the lovely Amy of AM Marketing who facilitated the introduction which resulted in the article being published.
Ah, those sunny days of summer weddings … although my first wedding of 2017 was pretty sunny too!
If you are planning a 2017 or 2018 wedding, I’d love to hear more and you can email me firstname.lastname@example.org and we can meet up over tea and cake …

I first met Ellie and Andrew last year when photographing the lovely Rachel and Michael’s wedding at Brogdale. I was delighted to receive an email from Ellie, asking whether I might be free to capture their wedding reception at The East Quay in Whitstable … on 4 February, which happens also to be my birthday. As you may know, I absolutely love being behind the camera and didn’t mind “working” on my birthday at all!
And it was totally worth it. Chilly but bright after a rainy start. We had formals on the beach and the roaring log burner was working its magic inside … we had just enough daylight to capture the family formals and, of course, the bridesmaids in the sea!
And we then turned in the other direction … and got this!
As promised, the bridesmaids …
And we even got a sunset (although by this time, we were all frozen to the core and admitted defeat and hurried back inside to be warmed up by the dancing!).
It was an absolute pleasure to be able to capture your wedding reception and thank you, Ellie and Andrew, for my birthday card too!
