With puddles still on the terrace, wedding co-ordinator Richard at Pegwell Bay Hotel, was concerned whether or not Lisa and Robert would tie the knot outside or whether rain would stop play. Richard uses Deal Pier as his guide for incoming inclement weather and, as we could see it in the distance, he made the decision to set up on the terrace … and it was the best decision ever!
I hadn’t met the bride or groom before the day and so it was great to get a feeling of how the wedding would be by first shooting the groom, his best man Graham and usher Tony (both brothers of the bride). I could immediately see it was going to be a fun and relaxed day!
Lisa has the most engaging smile which lights up the room. In the family “formals”, she absolutely glowed and I can’t wait to edit all of their images and share … especially as Robert’s family are in the States and so will be able to enjoy the wedding via their online wedding gallery.
As you can see, the sun was incredibly strong and Richard helped me by holding a reflector to mitigate the strong shadows … see what I mean by my glowing bride?!
Lisa and Robert had booked a short coverage package with me and it was an absolute pleasure for me to be able to capture their celebrations (for various reasons this was the fifth date that they had booked for their wedding and I’m so glad I was available!).
Wishing you a wonderful start to your married life and I can’t wait to share all the smiles and laughter from your celebrations! xx
