Last Friday saw me at Howfield Manor in Chartham for the wedding of the lovely Karen and John. I’ve been keeping in touch with developments over the last few months as Karen purchased her bridal gown from curvesandcouture.co.uk who are being filmed as part of a new series on TLC. It was like walking onto a film set with camera crews, booms and mikes everywhere! Even Hayley, the lovely wedding co-ordinator, was filmed interviewing John before the ceremony … great fun to be a part of this and I can’t wait to see the final results when their episode is aired.
But, back to my lovely bride and groom … Karen had found quite an innovative way to ensure that her statement necklace didn’t get twisted before the ceremony …
And their rings had been crafted from a piece of John’s family’s jewellery and had been engraved on the inside including the date and matching hearts … a challenge to photograph but I managed it!
Karen and John had always been determined to be married in the beautiful grounds at Howfield and, despite a slight drizzle, they did … it was an emotional ceremony and brought tears to the eyes of many guests.
As the registrars were completing the formalities, Karen and John took a few moments away from their guests and I love this touching shot.
Karen, you looked stunning and it was such a pleasure to be part of your day and to capture the love that you and John so obviously have for each other.
And, for those who know me, it was the perfect way to show off their new wedding bands with handsome dog, Buddy!
It was wonderful to be part of your celebrations and to meet your family and friends. I am so happy that you managed to achieve your dream of being married outside and that everything went to plan … even being filmed was a huge adventure! I’m excited to share your final edits and so will be working hard to finalise those for you. Wishing you much love and happiness in your married life together xxx
