I have previously worked with Jonathan from fairlymarvellous.co.uk to produce great images for use by his clients and I was delighted when he contacted me again recently and recommended me to a new client, Magdelena, who has launched a wonderful new line of skincare products called Pure Purpose Cosmetics.
Pure Purposes Cosmetics are a natural, paraben, SLS, sulfates, phthalates and cruelty free range. They use active botanicals in all of our products for maximum impact and minimum effort.
Magalena needed a set of clean bright images for use on her website, Facebook page and other social media, such as Instagram. For the first set of images, I used a tabletop infinity set up which I have used with great success on previous product photography work.
We wanted to give an idea of the size of the travel products against the full size products.
Magdalena also wanted some more “situational” images so we used various areas within the home to create these.
And yes, I did get in the bath!
The body scrubs use Robusta coffee:
“We use robusta coffee, as it has the highest caffeine content, which constricts blood vessels and reduces inflammation and redness. The antioxidants in caffeine fight free radicals which cause wrinkles, fine lines and loss of elasticity. Regular use reduces cellulite by dehydrating fatty cells.”
With this image, I really wanted to show the texture of the product by using natural light and a shallow depth of field.
You can find out more about the ingredients used in Pure Purpose Cosmetic products by clicking on their ingredients page.
Magdalena kindly gave me a sample of the face oil and I expected it to be greasy on the skin but it is quickly absorbed and smells beautiful.
I loved working alongside Magalena and Jonathan to create images which show off the products at their best and I look forward to working with them again as Pure Purpose Cosmetics expands their product line.
