Robin, cutting teeth and his favourite sister {sneak peek}

It is really quite amazing how fast children grow. As part of my collections, I offer either bump to baby or newborn to one year photoshoots and I was delighted that Meike and her family decided to book me for bump to baby. Robin was only eight days old when I last visited him … and now he is nine months old and absolutely gorgeous! Mum suspects that he is cutting some new teeth which made him a little bit cranky but nonetheless, with all best efforts of mum and lovely big sister, Heidi, we got a great selection and I’m sure that mummy and daddy will be spoilt for choice when making their decisions for Robin’s album. Take a look …

The bottom right hand side image just makes me grin! And sister Heidi – well, I couldn’t miss her out, could I?

Kent family photographer, Samantha Jones Photography,

Poor Robin was really suffering and even his nursery says that he is one of the smiliest boys. We wanted to get a few images with mum …

And with Heidi …

You can never guarantee how children will react during a photoshoot but I’m confident that we have a good selection to choose from for Robin’s album. If you are expecting and would like more information of my packages, click on this link or send me an enquiry via my website.

I like flying … Ben’s seven month photoshoot {sneak peek}

Oh my goodness … how big Ben has grown! Since his first photoshoot at 11 days old, when he slept pretty much all the way through, he has changed so much … his gorgeous and engaging smile … his love of flying (on the comfort of the dining room table, I must add) and his fabulous laugh … I love my job so much! Here’s a sneak peek and I hope he makes you grin too …

Of course, we had to include his Steiff bear – if you look at his newborn shoot, it gives you an idea of how much bigger he is now! And those giggles …

Mummy and daddy had only recently moved house and I must say that the light was just perfect for Ben’s photoshoot. And I love the hint of reflection in the top of the table … all in all, pretty perfect!

The full online gallery will be up soon and I wonder how much Ben will have changed when I return for his one year photoshoot! Hugs xx

What a difference a day makes …

Just 24 little hours … this time yesterday, I was photographing Darcey for her one year old photoshoot (part of the newborn to one year package) in beautiful sunshine on a windy beach in Seasalter. As I awoke this morning to pouring rain, I thought just how lucky we were … here’s your sneak peek, mummy and daddy, and I hope that you’ve got all the sand out of Ludwig …

Your gallery will be up as soon as possible in my new and rather fabulous online facility but, in the meantime, thanks so much for having the crazy idea of a beach shoot in October! xx

I defy you not to smile … Oliver’s six month old photoshoot {sneak peek}

After what seems like months of rain, the sun finally has arrived. And today was super scorchingly hot. But Oliver, one of my bump to baby families, could not have been more well behaved … well, apart from that tiny little bit of “spit up”. But hey, I’m sort of used to that now … so, as promised, here’s your sneak peek for mummy and daddy …

This little one is definitely the boss of the household!

And his smile is infectious! See what I mean …

And I’m pretty sure that his mummy and daddy love him very, very much indeed.

Looking forward to showing you the rest and then seeing which images you decide to choose for your photobook album. I hope that you’re all nice and cool now … and be in touch again very soon! xx

Welcome to the world … here’s a sneak peek of 11 day old Ben …

How time flies. Only last summer I was photographing Ben’s mum and dad’s wedding and now he’s having a photoshoot of his own! I know that mum and dad can’t wait to show off their online gallery from today’s photoshoot but I did promise a sneak peek … so here goes!

As Ben was sleeping soundly in his crib, his first teddy (and indeed, his first Steiff) had to stand in so that I could get my lighting spot on … and then came the still sleeping Ben …

He did, really, sleep like a baby. My tiny clients don’t usually sleep, but Ben did … oh boy, did he! It was just great to be able to get some really close up shots of those little fingers and toes and some images like these …

I’m so looking forward to documenting Ben as he grows as mum and dad have booked one of my bump to baby packages – I already think he has a little personality all of his own! I hope that this sneak peek was OK, mum and dad, and the rest will be up very soon. Promise!

Matilda Daisy at {one year old}

I have photographed little Matilda since she was just a bump (bump to baby) and was delighted to be invited back today to take some more fabulous pictures of this gorgeous little one at one year old. Now, mummy asked for a sneak peek, and so I am going to be very sneaky … and here it is …

So, come on mummy, make those photo choices and I’ll post another sneak peek for you! Lovely to see you all again and your daughter is just beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed creating these wonderful memories for you and am delighted that your family were so happy with their Christmas presents too!

Welcome to the world, Oliver!

It’s going to be about lots of lovely babies during this snowy February.  Oliver’s mum and dad took advantage of my “bump to baby” package (you can see more on my website here. We had the bump shoot a few months ago and now, here’s the lovely little man himself!

And a shot which proves very popular with parents …

Although Oliver decided to practice his championship footballing skills … he’s a quick mover!

Oliver decided to stay awake during most of the photoshoot, but was the perfect model child for this final image for mum and dad’s sneak peek …

Capturing those early weeks of your newborn are so very special and they grow so quickly. Newborn sessions are best within the first ten days – Oliver was a little older, but that doesn’t matter as we still have some wonderful images which will form part of the story of his life. Details on booking sessions are on my website or you can email me sam@samanthajonesphotography.co.uk or give me a call 07786 314973. Photoshoots take place in the comfort of your own home and regular feeding breaks can be taken if required!
