I met the lovely Sheree and her mum at a wedding fair last year … and she booked me on the spot! I can’t believe that their wedding has come around so quickly – we met up a few weeks ago to chat through final details and this couple is very, very, very much in love. Sheree and Shane have two amazing little ones with the biggest and cheekiest smiles ever and it was just fabulous to be part of their day.
It is rare that I get emotional on a wedding day – I’m usually concentrating too hard on what’s coming next, ensuring that I’m in the right place to get the shot. But when Sheree stood in the church with Shane and spoke her vows … and when she read out her speech at their wedding breakfast and her voice quivered with love … it gets even the “toughest” of photographers.
How on earth was I supposed to choose just one image from their day … so I didn’t …
Look, just look at their gorgeous babies!
It rained at all the “right” times. Sheree, you glowed. Your bridesmaids were fun and pretty fabulous! Shane, your honesty and your love for Sheree shines so bright … thank you both xx
It was the bank holiday weekend. The sun shone. For those of us used to the weather in the UK, this is unusual in itself. The fact that the sun shone for all three days of the bank holiday was almost unheard of.
And it was on Sunday that Nicola and Mark celebrated their love and commitment to each other in one of the lightest, brightest churches that I have ever had the pleasure of photographing in. Where I was welcomed with tea and biscuits and joyful singing … and when the sun still shone for the bride and groom to continue on to Hadlow Manor in the warm and beautiful light, keeping to the speed limit at all times in the Bentley …
Oh, and there were confetti cannons …
The light was hard but we managed to find open shade and how stunning do they both look?
It was a pleasure to be just a small part of your special day and I hope that celebrated long into the night. Congratulations to you both! xx
Testimonials are wonderful things. They reinforce the decision making process, allow everyone to get a true feeling about me and also make me feel proud of what I do! Take a look at some recent kind words … you can click on the images to see them in their full glory!
Susan and Paul. Smiley, funny, delightful, thoughtful. My kind of clients. It rained on their wedding day but it didn’t matter. Not for one moment, did it matter.
They married last August at Hadlow Manor Hotel, near Tonbridge. In the garden room which was filled with friends and family and smiles, and tears and joy. Lots of joy.
Such a lovely fun couple who made the most of every minute of their wedding day. Thanks to you both for having me along for the next part of your life adventure together and I hope that we will see each other again in the future! xx
Sarah and Sam must be counting their blessings. Not only was the weather almost perfect on their wedding day, but they had snow. Well, not real snow. But snow nonetheless. I was absolutely delighted to be part of their wedding day and to see this fabulous young couple celebrate their love amongst family and friends. It was emotional, colourful, organised and fun. And I really must learn how to tie a cravat – perhaps that should be my new year’s resolution!
Here’s a couple of images from their day … one of my favourite engagement ring shots of the year!
The gorgeous couple – the light was fading so fast and it was getting quite chilly and luckily, we had the chance to take a few shots before the first spots of rain arrived!
And, of course, being at this time of year, the Christmas trees were still up …
Congratulations to you both and I can’t wait to share the rest of your images with you in the New Year. In the meantime, thanks again to you both and to your family and friends for making my job so very, very enjoyable xx
Oh, it rained. All day. Torrential at some times. But would you have known it from the smiles on Susan and Paul’s faces? Definitely not. The gifts, the cards, the words of love. The delight and tears on so many faces during the ceremony. The moving speech from the bride’s father … the surprise journey in a Bentley … here’s your sneak peek …
I had the best time. And I hope that you both did too. Keep up the smiling practice, Paul and Susan, you looked absolutely stunning! I’ll be editing and processing your images as soon as I can but I just wanted to say “Thank you” for inviting me along to capture your special day. Much love xxx
Image is everything … people buy people and they like to know what you look like! If you are in business, it is very important, and highly recommended, to have a personal profile page accompanied by an image of you. I know, I know, so many people dislike having their photograph taken but I joined the team at Hadlow Manor recently as they appreciate just how important it is to have clear profile images.
You can find them here: www.hadlowmanor.co.uk/our-team and I’m delighted to be on their list of recommended recommended wedding suppliers. So now you know that, when you call to ask for a show round for your wedding or celebration at Hadlow Manor and speak to Una … you know what she looks like!
I love photographing weddings at Hadlow – the venue and grounds lend themselves to beautiful images and whether it is sunny or rainy, there is always somewhere to get beautiful photographs.
If you are planning a celebration at Hadlow Manor, whether it is a wedding, a christening or a birthday party, drop me a line firstname.lastname@example.org and tell me all about your plans!
