With the amount of rain we’ve had in Kent recently, it’s difficult to remember what warm weather feels like … but it will return. It will.
Although it’s great to have a bright sunny day for photographs, it isn’t always the best light as far as photography is concerned. Harsh, bright sun can cast unattractive shadows on the face and that’s why you’ll often find photographers looking for “open shade” or an area that isn’t in bright sunshine.
Early evening photoshoots at this time of year are perfect for capturing those lazy summer days.
We are so lucky in our local area of Faversham, Whitstable, Canterbury and Herne Bay that we are surrounded by glorious and photo-perfect areas.
If you are considering booking a family photoshoot over the summer, please do feel free to get in touch by emailing me firstname.lastname@example.org – details on pricing are here – prices are from £195.
Hope to hear from you soon!
They’re back … but they’re different. The next set of sessions are booked for:
Saturday 8 October 2016
at Boughton-under-Blean village hall just a stone’s throw away from Faversham.
Prices are still £20 for 20 minutes but now you get the bonus of 20% discount off products from your online gallery. Good value? Great value!!!
Perfectly timed for sorting out those niggly Christmas gifts, prints are excellent for capturing those never-to-be repeated moments in time … fun, frolics, fast and furious, 20/20 sessions aren’t for the faint hearted … they are super speedy photography with great results every time.
So email me email@example.com to get your session booked in. First session time will be 9.40am and then every twenty minutes after that with the final session probably being 3pm …
As always, the session fee of £20 secures your slot and I do expect this round of sessions to book very quickly.
Christmas jumpers are welcome!
As I spoke to my client, hailstones were raining down in our garden. However, Judith was confident that the weather would be fine for her family’s photoshoot in their secret bluebell location. I drove through the country lanes with darkening skies all around but the the tiniest hint of blue sky.
I just love the look of absolute enjoyment on the girls’ faces!
Additional family members are always welcome and deserve their own photos!
Perched high on a branch, mum was encourage to make the children laugh … I’m still not sure what she was doing! But it worked!
And it was entirely worth it. This family is a joy to photograph and I’m really looking forward to Judith and Paul’s wedding in September. Thank you all for making it such fun!
We all take photographs. We, almost everyone. Apart, maybe, from my dad who can’t quite work out how to do it on his new phone … but I take lots of photos, whether it is for work or for pleasure.
But there are some photos that we can’t take. And those are the ones that include us (unless, of course, you’ve got long arms to use a selfie stick and are great at using self timers …).
I thought you might like to see Jenny’s progression from bump … to Oscar’s arrival and to his one year photoshoot. He’s gorgeous.
Bump shoots aren’t for everyone. I totally get that. But with my three photoshoot session, you can make the choice. When you want to start … and when you want to finish. You can find out more by clicking this link: Newborn and family photoshoot details or you can email me firstname.lastname@example.org
Let’s start building those memories …
I delivered Aoife’s newborn to one year photoshoot album last week. I really didn’t want to let it go … such a great quality product, filled with images chosen by mum and dad and designed by me. A real heirloom.
I’m looking forward to volumes 2, 3, 4 … and to capturing those important moments in this sweet baby girl’s life. There are two price levels for these sessions and you can find out more here or email me email@example.com for more information.
This family are my perfect clients. We first met three years ago when new addition, Darcey, was just a few days old. Since then, I’ve photographed her as she’s grown, I’ve joined big sister Erin and her friends at a birthday party (mad, crazy, fun) and Andy’s parents for a special anniversary and family gathering and also had a spectacular photoshoot with their two camper vans, Ludwig and Matilda (Whitstable Bays). I’ve cuddled their tiny newborn pups and I’m always welcomed with cake and tea. See, perfect. And when mum Suzie suggested that we meet last Saturday in the car park at Perry Woods (an ancient woodland near Selling and Chilham, I wasn’t in the least surprised – October has always proved a great time to have a photoshoot with Darcey and the weather report had been checked and verified … so we did this …
Little Darcey was proving to be a bit camera shy but we worked together … until the rest of the family photobombed us!
And, of course, in Matilda there was cake …
Such fun and a great way to spend an autumn morning – if you haven’t had a family portrait session for ages, why not drop me a line firstname.lastname@example.org and I’d be happy to hear your ideas!
I’ve known this fabulous family since little J was a baby. And I was delighted to be welcomed back for a session with these two lovely girls and their family. The weather was absolutely scorching and we really did have to work out the best way to mitigate that … but the hops created shade and some relief from the sun and the girls, both very different in their personalities, giggled and laughed (particularly when their dad was giving a running commentary …) and we got some amazing shots …
There were so many fabulous images that I know mum and dad are trying to decide which ones to have as prints … I’m always so pleased when my clients are happy with what we’ve achieved, despite it being so incredibly hot! I can’t wait to see which ones you decide to display and thanks so much for inviting me back xx
