Cuteness overload … meet Maddison {newborn]

I’ve known Jemma and Rob for a good few years now, having photographed their wedding at The Old Kent Barn (you can see their story here) and we have kept in touch over the years.  I was delighted to hear that they were expanding their family … and even more delighted to hear of the safe (if a little early) arrival of Maddison.

At just one week old, Maddison stole my heart. She took a while to settle but we were in no hurry … the light in the conservatory was gentle as the day was overcast and Maddison finally drifted off …

Jemma and Rob also have a petite Boston Terrier and Maddison had received a replica … it’s great when we have the chance to photograph newborns with their first presents as we can use them in the future to gauge how much, and how quickly, they grow!

Maddison also modelled some headbands, made by friends of Jemma and Rob …

With a beautiful princess blanket gifted by grandparents, Peter and Bernie, it was nearly time to finish …

I’m pretty confident that I’ll be seeing lots more of this gorgeous little one. Maddison is already putting on weight and getting bigger by the day and I’m excited to follow her progress.

Strawberries and cream … baby Aoife’s first (and second) photoshoots {sneak peek}

I’ve met baby Aoife twice now and she was as super cute the second time as she was the first. At a whole week old, we met at the beginning of the week for her newborn photographs. But baby Aoife decided that she wasn’t quite ready for her public so we rearranged another mini-shoot … and she was perfect! This first montage is from her shoot on Monday …

And these are a small selection from today … mummy cranked up the heating, baby Aoife grinned and yawned throughout …

And this young lady can really “work” a hat!

I’m so glad that we could schedule a return visit – it really was worth it for some super shots. Sadly we didn’t quite manage to get her handmade slippers on … but here they are anyway!

I understand that, as Aoife’s next photoshoot will be scheduled around Christmas, that she may have to model a different outfit … can’t wait! Lovely to meet you, mummy and daddy and hope that you enjoy this little sneak peek of your gorgeous girl.

Robin – newborn photoshoot at just eight days old {sneak peek}

Well, here he is! We had such a great time at Robin’s “bump” shoot (which you can see on the blog here) that I knew Robin was already a model in the making. Add into the mix his gorgeous big sister, who had to introduce me to her new baby brother and just take a look at this new addition to the family …

With the soft toy which his sister chose for him and some beautiful handknitted and wonderfully soft clothes …

And, of course, we had to include Oma and Opa who are visiting from Germany … even though Granddad had to be torn away from renovating an amazing two storey Wendy house for lucky little Heidi!

And yes, I got to practice my rusty German too! Such a lovely family and I’m already looking forward to our photoshoot at six months … online gallery will follow as soon as possible!
