I first met Ellie and Andrew last year when photographing the lovely Rachel and Michael’s wedding at Brogdale. I was delighted to receive an email from Ellie, asking whether I might be free to capture their wedding reception at The East Quay in Whitstable … on 4 February, which happens also to be my birthday. As you may know, I absolutely love being behind the camera and didn’t mind “working” on my birthday at all!
And it was totally worth it. Chilly but bright after a rainy start. We had formals on the beach and the roaring log burner was working its magic inside … we had just enough daylight to capture the family formals and, of course, the bridesmaids in the sea!
And we then turned in the other direction … and got this!
As promised, the bridesmaids …
And we even got a sunset (although by this time, we were all frozen to the core and admitted defeat and hurried back inside to be warmed up by the dancing!).
It was an absolute pleasure to be able to capture your wedding reception and thank you, Ellie and Andrew, for my birthday card too!
